Tonight we head over to Centennial Park to watch the movie "Dolphin Tale" under the stars. We'll pick a spot early, relax and have dinner as the sun goes down, then settle in for the movie. (Did we  mention there's a dolphin, come on everyone loves dolphins).

Friday February 03      Dive In Movie - Movies in a Swimming Pool!

Yes, we are going to watch a movie in a swimming pool. At Willoughby Leisure Centre we will be able to sit back and relax on your lilo or inflatable in the centre’s heated pool, or laze around on deck chairs while enjoying family friendly movie "Hairspray" . Movie goers are encouraged to bring their own inflatables, chairs, food and drinks.

Saturday February 04      Sun Run - Because it's Good for your Bun(s)

Runners, joggers, walkers, amblers and rollers (we have an enthusiastic team of wheelchair pushers fired up and ready to go!) are all welcome to get into the fun of this local community fun run/walk. This promises to be a super friendly event over a relatively short distance (approx 6.5km) that all of us could do with enough time and encouragement. The spectacular course from Dee Why to Manly showcases the best of the Northern Beaches. Starting at The Strand in Dee Why and finishing on the Steyne in Manly, with all finishers receiving a commemorative medal. If you aren't sure if this for you then pick it anyway and we can tell you more about it next week.

Sunday February 05      Andrew's Super Fun Activity Day (not)

A day of guilty pleasures, just don't tell Andrew! We are going out of our way to do all the stuff that Andrew is always advising us NOT to do. So, it's going to be brekky at MacDonalds followed by mini golf. Then a hearty lunch at KFC and then a few frames of tenpin - almost too much fun for anyone to handle!! (PS Don't worry, Andrew won't be there) (PPS If you choose the Fun Run the day before you can still choose this one- in fact, you should do both).

Sunday February 12      Jess McCourt's Awesome Day Out

Our friend Jess is graduating from Peer Support but before she goes we're going to treat her to her very own super day! We'll start out with a leisurely horse ride, then increase the pace with some indoor rockclimbing. Recharge the batteries during lunch and finish off with a little bit of chocolate tasting. A day full of fun for Jess and all her good mates on Peer Support.

Saturday February 18      Jamberoo Action Park

Whether it’s thrills, spills or just a great day out with friends, we’ve got the activity for you! Jamberoo offers a range of rides and attractions from the tame to the not so tame. For those of us with a real sense of adventure Jamberoo has the new Taipan ride - It’s their biggest water thrill ride yet and guaranteed to get your heart pounding!... But don't worry if 'heart pounding' isn't your thing, there are plenty of slow relaxing rides for those of us who are just out for a bit of aquatic fun in the sun. This is a longer day than usual, so make sure to get some rest the night before. Jamberoo - Where you'll control the action!!

Thursday February 23      Beach Volleyball @ Manly

Tonight the club members will be heading down to Manly Beach to play some volleyball by twilight. There will be an opportunity for a cool down swim for those who would like. Don’t feel like playing volleyball? Still come along and enjoy a casual stroll up and down the beachfront, or cheer on your friends at the sideline!

Saturday February 25      DSA Surfing Day!

It is that time of year again when we get together with our friends from the Disabled Surfers Association for a day of surfing fun in the sun.  Our day will start with a warm up paddling race in the Collaroy Beach pool before hitting the waves on the beach.  A large number of volunteers and staff make this day accessible to everyone - especially for people who think that surfing might be out of their league. So be brave and come along for some surfing fun!

Saturday March 03      Wildlife Walkabout Camp

We are heading off on a wildlife camp to celebrate all things outdoors. We will be spending our weekend 'glamping'. This new phenomenon takes all the hassle out of camping, to leave the ease and simplicity of sleeping outdoors and having home cooked meals (prepared by someone else). We will be staying in a wildlife park with rangers who will be able to guide us around and show us the sights. This will be a fantastic time away and we look forward to seeing you then.
