Summer is nearly here and the nights are getting warmer. It's time for a slow evening stroll along the water's edge from Manly around to Shelly Beach. If it is warm enough some of us might stop to dip our toes in the little pool at Fairy Bower. The rest of us will stroll onto Shelley Beach for some of Andrew's special fruit cocktails and a few games.

Grab your paddles Peer Supporters we are hitting the water! Today we are planning some walking, picnicing and best of all a bit of kayak touring in our very own beautiful backyard . In groups of 'double' kayaks we will explore the islands, bridges and quiet stretches of  our picturesque Narrabeen lake. We would love to get everyone out on the water but for those who are not so keen on paddling there will be other options on the banks of the lake.

Come and join us as we head into the city to celebrate the start of Christmas festivities in 2009. We'll see the Annual Sydney City Christmas Concert and the lighting of the city's largest Christmas Tree, an impressive 21-metre tall traditional tree in Martin Place. All this magic takes place right in the heart of the city at Martin Place (between Pitt and Castlereagh Streets). Come prepared with some Christmas Spirit!!!

Tonight we are heading off to the Pittwater RSL Club to have some dinner and then go and boogey on down to the smooth sounds of The Evelyn Duprais Trio. The Evelyn Duprais Trio are a jazz, soul, pop, funk band who have played alongside James Morrison, Paul Mac, and other famour artists. So if music and dancing are your thing, please come along and join us for a night filled with cool music, freestyled dance moves, and great friends.

The combination of noodles and dancing might sound dangerous but the Friday night Noodle Market is probably some people's idea of heaven. In a cute park in North Sydney there's a live band playing dance-friendly music and a whole market of stalls selling noodles and all sorts of food. The trick is to make sure you don't get carried away and try to eat noodles and dance at the same time.

Don't miss the boat!! Come along for a great day trip and a fun day in the sun. We will be driving to Circular Quay and catching the scenic ferry to Watsons Bay. With any luck we will get a beautiful day and be able to sit outside and take in the view. We will eat a picnic lunch in Watsons Bay and maybe take some photos. We'll take a short stroll down to Camp Cove, a sheltered beach area, protected from the wind. We will enjoy playing some outdoor games and paddling in the water. After this we will enjoy a leisurely trip home, relaxing on the ferry and in the bus.

In keeping with the festive season tonight Peer will be going to see how much effort some people put into spreading the christmas cheer. First we will get to go to town decorating the bus with lights and xmas decoration. Then we will head off in the bus to check out all the twinkling chritsmas light displays located around the northern beaches. Feel free to wear something that lights up on yourself.

Today's activity will take us over to the beautiful Clareville beach where we will be slowing down to a very relaxed pace for the day. The days events will include leisurely walks up and down the beach, a few casual paddles around in the water and a relaxed BBQ in the shade of the trees. So if an easy-going day of fun in the sun sounds good to you then all you have to do is tick the box... slowly.

Peer Support is getting together tonight to celebrate yet another year of fun and excitement that has been had by all.  Dress up in your favourite Christmas outfit including your dancing shoes and let’s party!! Ye olde favourite returns to the Club repertoire. We will be doing our best to look christmassy, cool and trying not sing too loud. We are heading into the big show in the Domain where we can have a picnic supper while the stars sing to us. By the soft glow of thousands of candles we'll go all warm and fuzzy. All together now..ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
