Saturday October 22 / Sunday 23 Camp - 4WD and sandboarding

The legend of awesome Peer camps continues ...One lucky group of Peer people are heading up to Anna Bay Saturday morning and we're not coming home till Sunday night! This area has some beautiful beaches for us to enjoy but the big attraction for us on this weekend will be the 4WD trip we'll do among the sand dunes, where we get to do some sand boarding! Get in early or be mowed down in the rush to put your name down for this one!

Saturday October 29 Drumming Workshop (Combined day with Sat Program)

Today at the centre we'll be getting our hands on drums, shakers, bells and other African instruments and our Master Drummer from Africa will lead us in rhythm games, stories

dancing and singing in an awesome workshop of fun beats. At the workshop we will be joined by the Saturday Program crew who will be there to help us raise the roof! Afterwards we'll be heading to the Aquatic Centre to cool off!

Sunday November 06 Sculpture By The Sea

Brace yourself for a great day at Bondi. We'll bus over to Bondi and have morning tea at Sydney's best known beach, then follow the sculpture trail along the shoreline. Then (inspired by all the art we've seen) it's time to create our own sandcastle masterpieces. A cruisey lunch on the sand before heading for home.

Bring: Sunscreen, a hat, morning tea and lunch and a drink. We recommend comfortable shoes for the stroll along the sculpture trail. Bring swimmers and a towel if you're interested in a quick dip.

Saturday November 12 Awards Night 2011

Welcome to our annual awards night that recognises all the stupendous feats that we have all achieved over the past year. Need I say anymore?! This is most definitely a night that can't afford to be missed where all Peer members, families and volunteers will join together and celebrate a year of great outings and memories as well as enjoying some supper.

Bring: This year's theme is Mexican! Come along with your family in your best Mexican gear (as much or as little as you want) and bring along a plate of food to share with friends.

Friday November 18 Noodles and Dancing

The combination of noodles and dancing might sound dangerous but the Friday night Noodle Market is probably some people's idea of heaven. In a cute park in North Sydney there's a live band playing dance-friendly music and a whole market of stalls selling noodles and all sorts of food. The trick is to make sure you don't get carried away and try to eat noodles and dance at the same time.

Sunday November 20 Kayaking & Paddle Boarding

Grab your paddles guys and gals, we are hitting the water! Today we are planning some walking, picnicing and best of all a bit of kayak paddling. We would love to get everyone out on the water but for those who are not so keen on paddling there will be other options on the shore. For the adventurous, there's the chance to try a stand up paddle board!

Saturday November 26 Manly Waterworks

Hold onto your hats guys because today we are going to hit the water slides in a big way at the Manly Waterworks.There are 3 waterslides for us to enjoy ranging from the 'chilled out easy slide' to the 'yeeeeha slide'. After an exciting morning we will be relaxing with a leisurely picnic and chill out session at Little Manly beach with lunch and the option of a quick swim for those who haven't yet had their fill of water activities. While this activity is for those who love a bit of excitement and adventure in the water, for those of you who don't want to get wet there are plenty of opportunities to cheer your mates on. So join us for some daring water fun!

Sunday November 27 Clareville Beach BBQ Day

Today's activity will take us over to the beautiful Clareville beach where we will be slowing down to a very relaxed pace for the day. The days events will include leisurely walks up and down the beach, a few casual paddles around in the water and a relaxed BBQ in the shade of the trees. So if an easy-going day of fun in the sun sounds good to you then all you have to do is tick the box... slowly.
