Have you ever wanted to make a difference in someone’s life? Volunteering is a fantastic way to give back to your community while having lots of fun.

At NBI, we are always on the lookout for fun-loving, reliable and enthusiastic volunteers to help us run our programs and activities. Without these volunteers, some of the services that we provide to people living with a disability on the Northern Beaches just wouldn’t happen.

Become a Group Recreational Volunteer

At NBI we run a wide range of fun and social activities for groups of children, teens and adults living with a disability. These activities provide an opportunity for those attending to learn new skills, make new friends and have some fun.

To become a volunteer, the only prerequisite is that you are able to commit to attending an activity at least once a month, or regularly during school holidays, so that you can offer regular support, regular friendship and a familiar face to the kids, teens or adults attending the activity.

If you’d like to learn more about becoming a Group Recreational Volunteer, please give us a call today on 9970 0500, or listen to some of Our Volunteer Stories here.

Get some Experience in the Disability Sector

At NBI, we offer work experience placements for High School Students who are interested in a career working with people with a disability. We will work with you to match you to the right volunteer opportunity, before we provide training and support to help you succeed. Work experience placements with NBI will allow you to develop new skills while giving you a taste of what it is like to work in the disability sector.

Please call us today on 9970 0500 to get involved!
